6th Jan 2015: Venice Beach Skate Park again!
It was so good yesterday that we headed back to Venice Beach again! Today I decided to stay at the skate park for as long as I could bear under the heat of the sun (today it was 27 degrees). Met a few of the other skaters today too, a guy called Willie who was really supportive of me trying out a trick and a guy called Cameron who was a ridiculously amazing skater who just flew graciously round the pack like a hot knife slicing through butter… here he is showing off some skills in the bowl.
Very happy with today, but wish I could skate it again and again, I need to skate more parks that is for sure! Had to say goodbye to Venice Beach and head back to drop the car off. I then went for a wander around Los Feliz which is where I have been staying and had my last junk food extravaganza at Fat Burger!
Finally headed back to the house and met the owner of house I’ve been staying in as he has just flown back from Switzerland! We chatted and got on really well and hung out chatting in the hot tub! Finally got to try it out! Perfect for easing off all the aches and pains I’ve collected on my holiday! Franc is a record engineer/producer and has his own studio out here, he worked on Ed Sheeran’s latest album and many other artists over the years… I even found out that his boss recorded my favourite bands, Pearl Jam's debut album… Ten!!! AND Temple of the Dog!!! eeek! Brain overload! ha ha ha, anyway, was the perfect end to an adventurous holiday and now I need another one to get over this one!
